The Lisa Gerrard engagement thread is now open!
We encourage a range of questions and ask that they are kept reasonably brief and posted into this thread only.
Let the journey begin. |

| Ok...here's a somewhat personal question. What are Lisa's views on vegetarianism, and if she isn't already, would she consider giving it a go? |

Dear Lisa - Thank you!!
The music from Dead Can Dance changed my life!! DCD inspired me to think of music in terms of more than just rock and pop. I am eternally grateful to you and all involved.
Your continual evolution as a solo artist and collaborator has been remarkable to experience. Your works continue to challenge my perception of music. The emotions you convey to me are profoundly personal and deeply spiritual. Not many artists offer such an important experience.
Which brings me to some questions:
What is your perception of the work you do in terms of sharing, communicating? Do you attempt to engage the audience with specific ideas or philosphies? Or do those ideas grow from the work itself, realized in progress or maybe not until after?
With great love and gratitude,
Anthony |

Dear Lisa,
I have to admit I need to hurry up and say thank you for being such an incredible inspiration. Please tour (solo!) soon.
I know exactly how many people will post here so you'd better take a few days off if you want to read it all :-)
Forever Yours,
Adrian |

Dear Lisa:
This is a funny and naive post. I had a dream with you on it the whole night yesterday. You came to visit my house and had fun, you never singed a note, never played anything, and I never asked. But you came to our life (my partner and me) and stayed cool just being someone.
I had a big smile the whole day xD and it's funny, never had a dream like that in my life.
Hugs. |

Lisa:
Have you ever considered a new collaboration with Elizabeth Fraser? She just released 3 new songs and I believe you both have the opposite voices that may create an unbelievable environment. |

Third time's the charm! It has been a while, but I believe somewhere in the year that followed my attending to your Montreal concert in May 2007, I had a similar experience. I heard you say to an interviewer that our mind wanders around the world while we sleep...
So is it you visiting us, or us visiting you? Either way, I am thankful for your presence, and the light you shed on our very own paths.
Love and Light

Now that people are sharing their dream...well...here's my own Lisa dream which will certainly bring at least a smile (if not a laugh) to others - hopefully Lisa too.
Well...about a year ago I had a dream that Lisa came to Malta unannounced. I actually was walking along a street when I saw her from the window of a hotel's reception area.
Now, since it was a long-time (yet unfulfilled) dream to meet Lisa face to face and possibly talk and perhaps take a photo with her, I went inside and approached her. Imagine my surprise when, on seeing me approach, she called the security and they chased me outside!
As you can imagine, it was a strange dream which left me with weird and mixed feelings - one of being glad to see Lisa in Malta, and the other of being very sad that she called the security on me.
You all know that surreal feel after suddenly waking up from a dream - for a few seconds not being sure if the dream was real. Just imagine how I felt!
If I were superstitious (which I'm not), I would say it was a premonition on what was to happen in September, when at the Tempodrom (Berlin) I asked to meet Lisa but the security wouldn't let me. But of course the reason was that Lisa had to quickly catch a train to Amsterdam |

I guess reality is quite worst than dreams. I went to backstage in the DCD last tour. I walked into the room where Lisa was standing alone, staring at some stuff in the auditorium where the gig was held. She saw me for some seconds and inmediately, some other people arrived, she asked her friends to go with her and I was left there standing by myself.
Funny fact, later Brendan and the rest of the band arrived, and the one who offered me wine, fed me and took my DCD tour cd's for an autography from Lisa was the greatest person I met there: Patrick Cassidy (what a great guy!)
The second chance I had to meet Lisa was when she came by herself for The Silver Tree tour. I was told she was too tired so she was not going to talk with anybody. I left. But in the backdoor, some fans chased her and she stayed there with them... I never realized!
So I hope there may be a next chance, and who knows, my home doors are always open
thanks to the other dreamers, now I feel less ridiculous sharing my dream here hahaha, and more understood and happy. |

I think sharing the dreams is all fine and good ... and better suited in the Universal Discussions section.
The intent of this section is for you to ask her questions, and she will review them and respond to them.
Best regards,
Rainsford |

True. We just thought Lisa might find them interesting since they are about her
But yes...I guess they belong to another section. Apologies. |
