| Love the entire CD and DVD. The waiting was worth every moment. Lisa's heartfelt words printed on the enclosure card were great to read, and gave insight to this work and the future. |

Yes i agree with both of some on here are pritty dissapointed with it but i think itsa beautifull cd package and thankgod easy to read..i mean come on her handwriting isnt that easy to read for especially i guess arab people or other cultures who write ina different sytem and ways ...so it was put in print
i did read somewhere that they was gonna use the font on the front of the webpage im not sure who' handwriting that is or what font style it is ..but its beautifull but very hard to read ..
i dont really havea fave cos i love all the bonus tracks ..they seem to have a perpous either as bonus tracks or main..but enjoy everymoment n be thankfull everyone that lisa is still making music for us .....she ceertainly is my meditation medication xxx |

FINALLY I received my copy as well:)It was a magnificent feeling, sadly out of the mere frustration that the postal service caused me, for a moment I wasn't sure if I wanted to listen to it or set it on fire
Just kidding, of course, I wouldn't have done that
I really like the artwork as it is, really nice pack. The music is also very good, definitely a new territory for Lisa. Fantastic, as always, even though (maybe because many songs I have already heard on concerts and they weren't really new to me)I really missed at least one "kick-ass" piece. The music is atmospheric and very nice to listen to it in the background, but so far I haven't felt totally taken away by any of the songs, as it happened with previous albums. I can put my finger on some definite things that make me feel that way: the lack of live instruments(ie. yang qin) and the more "mainstream" sound of the works, and also Lisa laying much less emphasis on her "wilder, raw", "folksinger" side this time.
I also miss a more coherent booklet of the poems/lyrics, I expected a little bit more there.
I dunno, maybe it's just the delay or something like that, but for me it's only five stars out of five, not six:) |

I received the CD today and since i was at work I didn't have the chance to listen to it till now! Well, if I'm allowed to do any criticism ...here goes my humble review!
The artwork is great, just like always. The little cards with the poems weren't exactly as I imagined them to be but that's just me I guess! There's also a card with a small note by Lisa herself, lovely gesture indeed!
You probably already listened to the "proper" album so I'll go straight to the bonus:
The video of "The Serpent & The Dove" is rather disappointing, which is a shame for such a beautiful song. After the beauty of "Come Tenderness" I expected much more!
"The Aftermath" seems like an introduction piece, nothing more, nothing less.
"The Black Opal" is a recitation of a poem, and I'm not a poetry critic! I do love it though and I do love the sound of her voice when she recites!
You probably already heard "Desert Song"! Nice, but it does sound like a soundtrack piece, and I hoped for a more interesting version of what I had already heard.
"The Gardener" is another recitation of a poem, and it's really a glorious piece!
"Ocean Lament" is nice but too short! It could grow into something more complete!
"Solemn March" is according to me the best track of this bonus DVD. Very reminiscent of the "Immortal Memory" album! Gorgeous arrangements, voice at its best (well, that's the case of every single thing Mrs. Gerrard has ever done, don't you think?) Really moving, emotional and "epic" I'd say!
"Impermanence" has a "Duality" feeling to it, a great outro piece!
As a whole, this is a great opus once again! I just miss a little the more "obscure" side of Lisa's capacities. Something a little bit more raw, savage, ancestral... I don't know if you know what I mean I hope that you will enjoy it, sorry for the logorrhea everyone! |

I saw that film, too...and I didn't realized, where is Lisa's music. I've heard an instrumental (guitar) music...but I've heard a very-very quiet singing in the background. |

Come Quietly is especially close to my heart. |

| I don't know if this is the right place for this but I pre-ordered black opal in December and still didn't receive it. Honestly speaking, I am extremely disappointed about how the LG team treats their customers. I wrote 7 e-mails to lisagerrard.com, adam@lisagerrard.com, info@LisaGerrard.com.au, news@lisagerrard.com, accounts@LisaGerrardMusic.com. But still I don’t have my order and nobody even bothers to answer my mails (yes, I checked my spam filters). The only reply which I ever got, was from a guy named Adam Fawcett (adam@lisagerrard.com) telling me that he will track my shipment. This was over a week ago. I don’t know what to do anymore. Any help would be appreciated. |
