About those bonus tracks. I'll check how to convert them for ipod use etc. I think it may be an idea to make them available for free mp3 download for anyone who has bought the deluxe edition. Leave it with me
About the font - we had a lovely cursive font and extra backgrounds originally in use but found it rather difficult to read at such sizes. The paper is %100 recycled and you inevitably lose some focus and sharpness with such paper so we had to accomodate functionality over style in that regard.

| hi there i am new to the forum, but am somewhat at a loss at the moment i placed an order for a copy of "black opal" on the 28 th january and its now march and nothing, i understand that there may have been manufacturing problems, but the lack of contact from lisa's team is very frustrating and when i do email them i get a rather annoying response saying i will recieve my copy in 10 days by dhl , can anyone please shed any light on this and give any indication as to when i will actually receive the hard copy regards DTM |

| I just ordered my copy yesterday (March 3). How long do you think it will take to ship? |

I ordered mine on 28/01/2010 and still nothing... so the virtue of patience may help a lot in an hour of doubts ; )

Everyone who ordered prior to the CDs arriving at Lisa's location are all int he category of "pre-orders". I think they all arrived around the 16th of Feb? Anyway, ordering Feb. 01 is, effectively very similar to ordering last Dec.
But ordering after pre-orders went out (say ordering on Mar. 2nd) IS different.
I would guess you should receive it in 14-21 days. (Say 7-14 days shipping, plus the time to process the order.) That is a guess, but the total time to receive the item will be much different now compared to when we pre-ordered.
Best regards,

I finally got my CD today!!!
Has anyone figured out a way to convert the bonus DVD tracks so they can be saved/played on an iPod? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
Hope those that haven't received their copy won't have to wait much longer! |

Congratulations!!! neighbor i'm in S.F too. How strange that they would put the extra tracks in dvd format it's gonna be such a hassle to put it into my ipod best luck figuring out that problem and enjoy the music! |

Yeah! I received my copy on Saturday (though I didn't pick it up until late Sunday when I got back from a delightful short vacation.)
I received the standard and deluxe versions so both versions have made it out the door.
~~~
I am enjoying the music so far.
~~~
Fonts: The cursive used on the insert is very pretty, but hard to read. I think it is a good thing the majority of the test is in a basic, clear font.
~~~
All around a nice product. I enjoy the art and the music so far.
Best regards,
After all the frustrating delay, I arrived two minutes too late for the post this morning, so I only received a notification...I went out of my way to make it to the post office this afternoon before closing time where I was told I can only get it tomorrow the earliest...which won't happen as tomorrow is a 7 am to 7pm workday for me so it'll be closed...so even though FINALLY my freaking CD is here, 100 metres away from my apartment, I still can't listen to it for two more days!!!! What did I do in my past life?
Awww this CD is BETTER BE SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD!I have never ever ever felt so frustrated about a new release.
Oh well, that's life:( |
Apart from that, I think that considering the tragic theme of the album cover, a "sophisticated" font would have "glamorised" the theme. Moreover, it would have moved the focus away from the theme.
I think it was appropriate to keep it simple. |
Manfred75,
I don't know what might have caused the delay, but it very possibly could be your CD(s) were shipped later in the shipping cycle.
Other USA buyers,
There seems to be an extra couple days (4-8 ) delay when shipping via DHL into the US. Not sure why, but keep that in mind.
Best regards,
