lyrics of AMNESIA (album version):

Saw the demonstration
on remembrance day
Lest we forget the lesson
Enshrined in funeral clay
History is never written
by those who've lost
The defeated must bear witness to
our collective memory loss

With every generation comes
another memory lapse
See the demonstrations of
Failing to Learn from our past
We live in the dreamtime
nothing seems to last
Can you really plan a future
When you no longer have a past

Memories fall from the trees
Memories like autumn leaves

If we are subject to
empirical minds
I wonder what lies beyond
Our memories confines
If memory is the true sum of who we are
May your children Know the truth
And shine like the brightest star

Memory.... help me see
Memory.... set me free

All my love and all my kisses
Sweet Mnemosyne

I'm interested to ask, after listening to the new album on vinyl. Does anybody know if the vinyl version got a separate mastering or not.

I Love the album, I think it's a step back to a more collaborative approach that DCD lost on later albums.

The vinyl mix is a little flat though, it seems to be missing a separation in the middle. I wondered if the vinyl was mastered from the digital mixes?

Wonderful album though

My Vinyl also sounds a bit flat ... maybe someone took the mp3 files
for mastering ? :-)
After listening to the 24Bit Version from the Box-Set
now also the CD in some places sounds ?+#+" ... mmmh .
a mastering issue ?

It probably is mastering. Never mind the music is the highest quality. The mastering was probably a little rushed as they have had a short time to get it done. Besides, mastering is an art in itself and requires a different kind of ear I think. I'd be no good at it

Anastasis is just another victim of the loudness war! clicks come from pushing the loudness of music beyond its limits... the worst track is "Opium" which has the very poor dynamic range of 4, this album can be wearying at high volume or after multiple listenings.... the sound has no depth.
