Hallo to everyone!

In 1986 a friend of mine told me I really had to see this concert in Doornroosje, a concerthall in Nijmegen, where I lived at the time. So we went.

The concert started off with The Heavenly Bodies: instrumental, acoustic music, unique in this time of post-punk new-wave! The last song the band was accompanied by this beautiful singer, dressed in white behind some kind of desk ('katheder' as we say in dutch). She appeared to be the one of the singers of Dead Can Dance who performed after a little break. It was a short concert, only 30-45 minutes and then Lisa and Brendan really got angry at each other, she walked away and didn't come back. But it was the best concert I have ever seen!

The concert was completely broadcast by dutch radio and can be found on bootlegs and of course, Dead Can Dance has given better (and longer :) ) concerts in the Netherlands, and they were all overwhelming, but isn't the first allways the best?

And then every year or so I eagerly awaited a new album. Beautifully balanced in music and style and artwork. To feed both mind and spirit. A joy for feeling and intellect, they seemed to be on a path I was following as well.

Their music never left me since, and allthough I sometimes really regret the days Lisa and Brendan had this unique cooperation you can feel up until Aion, I must say Lisa Gerrard's music still goes deep into the soul.

I have been a guest on this forum for a while, and decided to become a member, hope to be a contribution!
